It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Knapp in Jamestown, North Dakota, born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on November 6, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manfred Knapp and Helen Knapp (Alm); his parents-in-law, Trudy and Marion Baartman; and his siblings-in-law, Suzy Baartman and Scott Mork.
He is survived by: his former wife Renee Brekke; his wife Brenda; his children, Manfred Knapp (Amanda) of Fargo and Sandra Johnson of Tappen; his stepchildren, Chris Herrick (Laura) and Gina Hough (Brian); and his siblings-in-law, Mike Baartman (Carla) of Cannon Falls, MN, Randy Baartman (Betsy) of Rochester, MN, Jeff Baartman (Sherry) of Red Wing, MN, Brad Baartman (Julie) of St. Cloud, MN, Dave Baartman (Caroline) of Minneapolis, MN, Greg Baartman (Sharyce) of Ruthton, MN and Melissa Mork. He is also survived by four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
