He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Carlson and Ann Carlson (Hinz). He is survived by: his wife Lori Hoy; his son Derek Carlson (Lynda); his grandchildren, Tara and Logan Carlson; his siblings, Russell Carlson of Jamestown, Bernice Anderson (Roger), Lorraine Wahlund (Lee) and Carrington; and his mother-in-law Nancy Hoy of Morris, MN.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
