He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip, Jr. Kust and Magdalena "Mickey" Kust (Bieber); and his grandson James "Jac" Carlson. He is survived by: his uncle Art; his wife Linda Kust; his daughter Samantha Carlson (Kust); his grandsons, Jace and Spencer Carlson; and his siblings, Bill Kust, Connie Vagneur (Jim) of Jamestown, ND and David Kust (Colleen) of Roseville, CA. He is also survived by several siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
