He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence Stangeland of McVille, ND and Theone Stangeland of McVille, ND; his sisters, David Stangeland (Lori) of Sioux Falls, SD, Ruth Smith (Stuart) of Bismarck, ND and Esther Roehl (Mark); his nephew Christian Smith; and his nieces, Jenna Smith, Serena Roehl and Madelyn Roehl.
