He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Peterson and Anna Peterson (Hanson); and his siblings, Kenneth, Pearl and Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Robin Gumke of Jamestown, ND, Sheri Struxness (Mike) of Woodworth, ND, Wanda Reynolds of Jamestown, MaLinda Lux (Bryan) of Jamestown and Myron Peterson of Jamestown. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister and 1 brother.
