Mary Rita Gainsforth Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 83, Mary Rita Gainsforth (Jamestown, North Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Kortendick and Cora Kortendick (Christopherson) of Pingree, ND.; her brother-in-law Raymond (Carol Kautzman); her grandson Tyler Max Gainsforth; and her niece Heather Fulton Curtis.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Gainsforth of Michael's Catholic Church; her children, Jeff (Val), Scott, Nanci (Michele Kramlich), Monte and Gina Williams (Nate); her grandchildren, Justin Gainsforth (Marie), Jackie Russell (Hal), Dana Gainsforth (Anna), Riley Gainsforth, Reece Gainsforth, Kylee Williams and Alexis Williams; and her sister Norene Fulton (Steve). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Basilica (622 1st Ave S, Jamestown, ND 58401).
Along with raising five children, she dedicated many years to her career, working at the ASCS Office for five years, the American Heart Association for five years, Jamestown Hospital for 17 years, and Joy's Hallmark for another 17 years.
