He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Griffin and D. Elaine Griffin; his in-laws, Edward and Laverne Schwab; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie Schwab and Jean Griffin.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Schwab; his daughter Katie Kramlich (Rick); his grandsons, Maxwell and Coleman Kramlich; his son Matt Griffin (Mandy); his grandchildren, Carmen of Bismarck, Tobias of Bismarck, Owen of Bismarck and Chloe Griffin of Bismarck; his siblings, Paul Griffin (Nora) of Bismarck, Robert Griffin of Lincoln, ND, Connie Kleinknecht (Glen) of Mesa, AZ, Daniel Griffin (Janet) of Columbus, MT, Richard Griffin (Donette) of Bismarck and Laura Becker of Valley City, ND; and his brother-in-law Bob Schwab (Lori) of Montrose, CO. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
