She was predeceased by: her father Edgar Hornung; her sister Carol Stahlhut; and her grandparents, Ernest, Rosa Hornung, Otto and Reneta Koenig.

She is survived by: her children, Chad Price of Jamestown, ND, Jesse Price (Adrianne) of Fargo, ND and Paula; her mother Harriet Halvorson of Jamestown, ND; her sisters, Val Harr (Curt) of Edgeley, ND and Vick Poland (Dan) of Jamestown, ND; and her brother-in-law Rollie Stahlhut of Jamestown, ND. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

“I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to all of you. She had a beautiful spirit. I remember spending the night at your home back in Pettibone to take our driver's test the next day and somehow I ended up being able to take it with her and your family car. I remember hearing a story from the family that the basement floor had just been painted and apparently Joyce was a sleep walker. Footprints on the floor and paint on her feet, she was found out. :) I'm so deeply sorry...”
