With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ilene Kjelland (Jamestown, North Dakota), born in Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on September 2, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Kjelland and Gina Kjelland (Borg); her stepfather Ed Maresh; her husband Sam; and her grandson Evan James.

She is survived by: her grandfather Arnold; her children, Joseph J. Lunde, Christopher James, Leah James, Todd James, Evan James, Janelle "Jan" Komrosky, Michael Edward, Chad, Andrea, Martee Lunde (Joe) and Mike Kjelland (Jan); her grandchildren, Christopher Lunde (Annette), Leah Radke, Todd Lunde, Michael E. Kjelland (Aly), Chad Kjelland (Tiffany) and Andrea "Annie" Johnson (Adam); her great grandchildren, Jessica Jo, Michael Jo, Adam Jo, Frida Jo, Jacee Jo, Jadyn Jo, Alexa Jo, Jayden Jo, Skyler Jo, Samuel Jo, Olivia Jo, Levi Jo and Ella Jo; and her sister Marilyn Kerbaugh.

She took care of Sam until Alzheimer's took his ability to walk.
