He is survived by: his wife Joanne Shafer; his sons, David Etter (Cindy) and Douglas (Linette); his grandchildren, Richard Etter of Ypsilanti, ND, Melanie Rudland (Dylan), Shane Etter, Robin Etter and Amethyst Etter; his sister Muriel Rebhahn (Don) of Lisbon, ND; and his sister-in-law Sharon Shafer of Glen Ullin, ND. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
