He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Rudnick and Margaret Rudnick (Powell); his son Jason; and his siblings, Lewis, Ralph, Robert, Marge Patterson, Mary Jean Kartes and Evelyn Crowder.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Halvorson; his children, Heidi Sims (Arnold) of Milwaukee, WI, Travis Rudnick of Dickinson, ND and Jenna Rudnick (Erik Walker) of Fargo, ND.; his grandchildren, Avery, Aaron, Dalton, Garrett and Addisen; and his siblings, Leo (Sharen) of Cerritos, CA, Donald (Darla) of Fargo, ND, Ken of Jamestown, ND, Leona Weiser of Jamestown, ND, Linda Calkins (Mike) of Watertown, SD and Diane Williams of Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-Laws.
