It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Burkhardt of Jamestown, North Dakota, born in Akeley, Minnesota, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Mathews and Myrtle Mathews (Batteen); her husband Norman W. Burkhardt; her stepfather Albert Perleberg; her siblings, Barb Hinsz and Wayne Mathews; her sister-in-law Je're Mathews; her nephew Brent Mathews; and her great grandchild Jacob Williams.
She is survived by: her family Florence; her children, Debra Bischoff (Mark) of Jamestown, ND, Gregory Fisher of Fargo, ND, Jerry Fisher (Lora) of Jamestown, ND and Bruce Fisher (Kathy) of Yankton, SD; her grandchildren, Jack MacArthur, Alysia Rufsvold (Scott), Amy Sjaaheim, Tiffany Flitton (Christopher), Naomi Mitzel, Justin Fisher (Jenny), Ryan Fisher (Tawnya), Rachel Krapp (Blake), April Tompkins (Keith) and Mandy Ekeren (Mike); her stepdaughter Heather Haugen (Cory); her brother Richard Perleberg; and her brother-in-law Ellan Hinsz. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
