He was predeceased by: his parents, Matilda Wieland (Schlenker) and Emil Wieland; his spouse Viola Olstad; and his siblings, Leonard, Arthur, Edward, Ann Marie and Rose Marie.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Shellenbarger (Bob), James Wieland and Paul Wieland (Diane); his grandchildren, Nicole Hahn (Chris), Chris Shellenbarger (Christine), Ashlee Cummins (Jake), Katie Wieland, Justin Wieland, Emily Wieland and Jaden Wieland; his great grandchildren, Logan, Aftyn Hahn, Lyla, Adaline Cummins and Emil Shellenbarger; and his close friend Cindy Belohlavek.
