He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bitz and Lila Bitz; and his grandparents, William, Dorothy Bitz, Michael and Gertrude Harstad.
He is survived by: his son Christopher (Trista) of Harwood, ND; his grandchildren, Elliott and Olivia; and his siblings, Susan Ellison (Sam Karels), Jerome Bitz (Cynthia) and Lori Koebernick (Glenn).
