Doug Mead Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doug Mead of Jamestown, North Dakota, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Mead and Vonnee Mead (Noble); and his sisters, Wanda Williams and Peggy. He is survived by: his wife Leona Mead; his children, Todd Mead, Troy Mead and Trisha Shirley (Norman); his grandchildren, Lucas, Julia and Benjamin Shirley; and his siblings, Sharla Backer (Ben), Jason Mead (Kristie) and Carey Mead.
A prayer was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Eddy Funeral Home (621 1st Ave S, Jamestown, ND 58401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Basilica (622 1st Ave S, Jamestown, ND 58401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the James River Human Society, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice, or a charity of choice.
