With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald Bentz of Jamestown, North Dakota, born in Harvey, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donald left this world on May 17, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bentz and Milletta Bentz (Keller); his sisters, Irene Hauser and Lenora Hughes; and his brothers-in-law, Elmer Hauser, Herbert Swang and Frank Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Eckart; his adoptive children, Lori Stiefel of Jamestown and Jeff Bentz (Meryem) of Fargo; his granddaughter Madeline Stiefel (Quinn Dixon) of Jamestown; his stepgrandson Scott Berge; his son Blake; his child-in-law Nicolette Bresnahan (Patrick); his grandchildren, Banks and Indy of Fargo, N. D.; and his sisters, Pearl Swang of Harvey, N. D., Violet Buxa (Calvin) of Anamoose, N. D. and Elaine Baumgartner of Fargo, N. D.. He is also survived by 70 foster children that they cared for over a 17 year period; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to either the Jamestown Kiwanis Club and/or the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Home-Health and Hospice.
