He was predeceased by: his siblings, Henry, Robert, George, Fred, Emma Schultz and Elsie Veen.
He is survived by: his parent Dora Kanwischer (Wachtel); his wife Connie of Jamestown; and his siblings, Adeline Walen, Mabel Duntley, Donna Young and Donald of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
