It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Machtell of Jamestown, North Dakota, born in Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nicholas and Lauretta Theresa Machtell (Traiser); his wife Phyllis Ann Boehm; his sisters, Darlene Becker (Joseph) and Kay Di Paulo (Sal); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Hayden, Thomas Boehm and Dorothy Leary (John).
He is survived by: his family, Daniel and Nicholas; his son Daniel Machtell (Pamela); his grandson Andrew; his son Nicholas Machtell (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Chantel, Kaylah and Taylor Machtell; his daughter Christine Baird (Steve); his grandson Tanner Baird (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Kaiyah, Ezrah and Codey Baird (Alicia).
