He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Etherington and Ruth Etherington (Hickle); his siblings, Jean Krank, Alice Hutchinson, Rose Lumpkin, Jack Etherington and Frank Etherington; his daughter Lucinda Berg (Cindy); his granddaughter Carrie; and his daughter-in-law Kari Etherington.

He is survived by: his uncle Ralph; his wife Bernice Zahn; his children, Timothy Etherington (Karen) of Hampton, Clifford Etherington (Lori) of Deadwood, SD, Anthony Etherington (Catherine) of Lincoln, NE and Rosalie Dodson (Christopher) of Jamestown, ND; his grandchildren, Nikki, Stacy, Jessica, Michael, Miranda, Matt, Holly, AJ, Liana, Jaron, Billy, John, Thomas, Joseph, Daniel, Anne and Michelle; and his brother Walter Etherington. He is also survived by great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
