He is survived by: his wife Clara (Miller); his children, Pamela Shook, Cheryl Bardell (Joe) of Gackle, ND, Mark Schlenker (Rhonda) of Jamestown, ND, Lori Schlenker (Mike Geffre) of Mattawan, MI, Lisa Poppenhagen (Timothy) of West Fargo, ND and Sonja Schlenker of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandchildren, Vanessa Shook, Zachary Shook, Amanda Roelofs (Zachary), Brittany Zimmerman (Tanner), Ryan Schlenker (Maranda), Jenna Poppenhagen, Evan Poppenhagen, Isaac Geffre and Simon Geffre; his great grandchild Arteyjah Shook; his sister Patricia Lahr of Bismarck, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Venn (Margaret) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Helen Elhard of Gackle, ND. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
