He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lynne Bergstrom; his children, Troy Michael (Kim), Chad Everett of Hope, ND and Kirstin Kay Gerhardt (Jason) of Valley City, ND; his grandchildren, Logan Kainz of La Crosse, WI, Riley Gerhardt (Taylor) of Grand Forks, ND, Tanner Kainz of Fargo, ND, Gavin Gerhardt of Valley City, ND, McKenzie Kainz of Winona, MN and Addison Gerhardt of Valley City, ND.; his siblings, Betty Ewing of Fargo, ND, Edward Kainz of Hope, ND, Marlys Jacobson (Jim) of Finley, ND and Patricia Satrom (Larry) of West Fargo, ND.; his in-laws, Marcia Mitzel of Davenport, IA, Jan Bergstrom of Mayville, ND, Fay Kainz of Weaver, AL and Leroy Jacobsen of Hope, ND; his aunt Doreen Bistis of Hermantown, MN.; and his in-laws, Jim Ewing, Harold Armstrong, Marj Kainz, Gary Bergstrom (LinDa), Linda Jacobsen (Ken), Roger Bergstrom, Benny Bergstrom and Balzer Mitzel.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 204 Steele Ave, Hope, ND 58046. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
