He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Olson and Ruby Olson (Almen); his siblings, LaVoy Olson and Echo Bjertness; and his brothers-in-law, David Rodger and Ben Bjertness.
He is survived by: his wife Nadine Rodger of Hoople; his children, Nancy Conover of Fort Collins, CO, Steve Olson (Maren) of Hoople, Barb Nilles of Mendota Heights, MN and Patti Huppert (Kevin) of Ellsworth, WI; his grandchildren, Rachel Burhans (Ryan), Sarah Conover, Britt Godlington (Kevin), Bennett Olson (Dragana), Kari Olson, Margo Nilles, Adam Hupperts (Shawna) and Andy Huppert (Becky); his brother Joel Olson (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Joyce Olson. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
