He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Peterson and Velva Peterson (Hill); and his brother Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Sandy of Hillsboro; his son Dana Peterson (Paula) of Harwood, ND; his granddaughters, Hallie and Andie; and his sisters, Marlene Hanson of Fargo, ND and Lavon Peterson of Hockessin, DE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many other very dear relatives and friends.
