He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Abrahamson; his sister Diana Barnett of Cary, NC; his daughter Nancy Doherty; his grandchild Lauren Healy of Oxford, NC; his daughter Barbara Watson; his grandchild Jerry Watson of Norfolk, VA; his son Matthew Doherty (Kristen); his grandchildren, Ava, Elyn, Olivia and Iris of Medina, MN; his daughter Seina Freidig; his granddaughters, Grace and Madelyn of West Fargo, ND; his stepdaughter Heather Vinje (Nick); and his stepgrandsons, Jack and Owen of Hunter, ND. He is also survived by in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
