With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Schlichtmann of Hillsboro, North Dakota, who passed away on October 11, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schlichtmann and Olga Huemoeller Stanley Schlichtmann; his siblings, Margaret Behnke (Fred), Henry Schlichtmann (Orrel), Walter Schlichtmann (Ina), Dorothy Hintz (Fred), Lois Maisel (Daniel), Vivian O'Donnell, Herbert Schlichtmann, Eleanor Ydstie (Kenneth), Ruth Rust (Vernon) and Shirley Taylor (John); and his great grandchild Elisia Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Biel; his children, Karen Schmidt, Michael Schlichtmann (Mardi), Dian Schlichtmann, Julie Morris (Timothy) and Curtis Schlichtmann (Natalie); his grandchildren, Sara Rivers (Tarrington), Rachel Schmidt, Erika Schmidt, Kayla Tufte (Michael), Morgan Schlichtmann, Adam Schlichtmann, Andrew Morris (Anna), Aaron Morris, Caleb Morris, Emma Schlichtmann and Charles Schlichtmann; and his great grandchildren, Tarrington Jr., Tylan Rivers, Judah and Samuel Morris.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family kindly requests all attendees wear masks and lunch will not be provided following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or Sanford Health Foundation/Hillsboro.
