With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Abentroth of Hillsboro, North Dakota, who passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Abentroth and Daisy Abentroth (Bingham) of Cummings, ND.; his wife Lorraine Logan of Ada, MN.; his brothers, Fay, Erle and Lloyd; his nephews, Robert Abentroth and Charles Abentroth; his niece Kay Preston; his great-niece Erica Kritzberger; his daughter-in-law Lori Abentroth; and his grandson Jon Abentroth.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Horne (Dudley) of Hillsboro, ND and Vincent Abentroth (Tracy) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Aimee Halstenson (Eric), Matthew Abentroth (Sarah), Jessica Horne (Jack Siegel) and James Horne (Maria); and his great grandchildren, Henry, Huck, Abe, Emma, Avery, Britta, Cora and Cate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hillsboro Medical Center Auxiliary or Hospice of the Red River Valley are preferred.
