He was predeceased by: his parents, George Swanson and Julia Swanson (Dexheimer); his parents-in-law, Walter and Orla Bye; his brother Robert Swanson; his sister-in-law Linda Swanson; and his granddaughter Audrey Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Bye; his children, Bonita Moger (Clem) of Cohasset, MN, Craig Swanson (Carla) of Buxton, ND and Jason Swanson (Jessica) of Grand Forks, ND.; his grandchildren, Carissa Koehn (Jacob), Madison Mattson (Kohl), Skyler Moger, Aubrey Rolland (Isaac Johnson), Levi Johnson (Calle Porter), Katelyn Rude (Levy Paskett), Jonah Rolland, Kyan Swanson, Annie Rolland, Caylee Swanson and Charlie Swanson; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Channing and Lux Koehn; and his brothers, John Swanson, Dave Bye (Helen), Don Bye (Pat) and Suzi Swanson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
The family suggests memorials to the Roger Maris Cancer Center or Our Savior's Youth Group.
