It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Nagel in Hettinger, North Dakota, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nagel and Margaret Nagel (Greff); his siblings, Rose Marie and Walter; his siblings-in-law, Ron Vernon and Lavonne Nagel; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Mildred Hoffman; and his siblings-in-law, June Hoffman, Eugene, George and Keith Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Hoffman; his children, Chad Nagel (Pam), Stephanie Berg (Bill), Reed Nagel (Vicki) and Nathan Nagel; his siblings, Joe Nagel (Juanita), LeRoy Nagel (Judy) and Shirley Warbis; and his sister-in-law Beverly Hoffman. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (405 3rd St N, Hettinger, ND 58639). A rosary was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
