He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mark Hopfinger and Florence Hopfinger (Deuschle); his children, Marcus Hopfinger (Deborah) of White, SD, Angela Lane (Garry) of Lemmon, SD, Leah Petik (Kurt) of Fond and Felicia Watson (Travis) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Adele, Elyse Hopfinger, Amanda Letellier (Teal), Zachary Fischer (Alexandra), Grant, Kiya, Irelyn Petik, Neka, Madison and Noah Watson; his stepgrandchildren, Isaac Pudas, Jordan Lane (Ariel), Emily Lane and Taylor Ker (Christian); his great grandchildren, Kai, Luna Letellier and Raven Fischer; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tatum, Riley and Jackson Ker; his brothers, Dennis Hopfinger (Carolyn) of Brookings, SD and Brian Hopfinger (Darlene) of Lemmon, SD; his siblings-in-law, Ray Schwarz (Priscilla) of Minot, ND, Otto Schwarz (Connie) of Hettinger, ND and Marietta Sakshaug (Warren) of Byron Center, MI; and his wife Irene Schwarz. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
