It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Materna (Hettinger, North Dakota), who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Ellingson and Flora Ellingson; and her sisters, Sonja De Etta, Ja Nelle Eileen and Cleo Huiner.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Materna of Hettinger, ND; her children, Frank Materna, June Petrik (Lewis) of Wolf Point, MT and Jerry Materna; her granddaughter Joleigh Petrik of Ripon, WI; her siblings, Phillip Ellingson (Sharon) of Hettinger, ND, Beverly Byers of Hettinger, ND and Kathy Jones (Zach) of Reeder, ND; and her siblings-in-law, Darwin Huiner and Ruby Goerndt (Fritz) of Baker, MT. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
