He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his son-in-law Leslie D. Braaten; his sisters, Bernice and Allyce; his brothers-in-law, Byron Matthews and Kermit Johnson; his nephew Mark Matthews; and his niece Vivian Skaug.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Weaver Braaten of Hettinger, ND, James (Bernetta Weaver), Carol Weaver, Barry Wiechmann of Rapid City, SD and John (Pam Weaver); his grandchildren, Brooke Noack, Robyn Hart, Amber Weaver Vidal, Tyler Weaver, Nathan, Nicole and Nevan Weaver; his great grandchildren, Matthew, Emily Noack, Tennille, Aden, Mariana, Orin, Kai, Holden, Hollis, Naavah, Wells, Declan Hart, Koli, Sawyer and Nora Vidal; and his uncle Albert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
