He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Beer (Boeding) and Fred Beer; his brother Fred (Karen) of Lemmon, SD; his sisters-in-law, Karen Beer of Pierre, Maureen Beer of Timber Lake and Roberta Alley of Burien, WA; his siblings, Louise Beer, Mary Alley, Alice Hulm, LeRoy, John and Bernie; and his son-in-law Dale Peckham.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Marge" Alley; his children, Craig (Layna) of Council Bluffs, IA, Edward Beer (Gina) of Isabel, Catherine Peckham of Glenwood, IA, Douglas Beer (Carrie) of Isabel and Nancy Crump (Thane) of Watertown, SD; his grandchildren, Logan Beer (Katie) of Glenwood, IA, Shayla Beer of Isabel, Brooke Barrett (Devon) of Gretna, NE, Cole Peckham of Glenwood, IA, Bradyn Beer of Isabel, Luke Beer of Isabel and Brace Beer of Isabel; and his great grandchildren, Treyden Beer and Colter Dale Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Association or The American Lung Society.
