He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Schmitcke and Lyle Schmitcke of Hazelton; and his brother Myron. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his sons, Michael Schmitcke (Sarah) and Kelly Schmitcke (Jillian); his grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Blake, Alisha, Johnathan and Nicholas; and his brothers, Jerry, Alvin, Dean (Arlene) and Kevin (Patti). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
