She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Ohlhauser and Viola Ohlhauser of Linton; her daughter Jessica Kummer; her brothers, David, Steven and Timmie; her siblings-in-law, Edwin, Valda Malard and Carol (Francis Herauf); her nephew Sean Larson; and her great-nephew David Heupel.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Malard of Hazelton; her daughter Monique (Curt); her grandchildren, Tucker, Sawyer and Larkin of Palmer, Alaska; her children, Alicia of Los Angeles, Trevor of Tokyo, Japan and Josh (Renae); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jenna and Allie of Hazelton; her son-in-law Cody Kummer; her grandchildren-in-law, Nickoli Schmitcke of Bismarck, Regan of Bismarck and Connor Kummer of Bismarck; her sister Sunnie Lewis of Linton; and her sister-in-law Deborah (Van Larson) of Bismarck. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
