He was predeceased by: his parents, Lila Fuerst (Weisz) and Lawerance Fuerst; and his grandparents, Amalia, Salomon Weisz, Martha and Henry Fuerst.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Schenkel; his daughter Carolyn Fuerst (Daniel Hanner); his siblings, Dawn Popma (Greg), Denise Willman (Jerry) and Dean Fuerst (Susan); and his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Johnson (Ken), Alicia Nebuda (Jeff), Michael Popma (Samantha), Samuel Willman, Ashley Mork, Sarah Fuerst, Anna Fuerst, Jacob Fuerst, Lydia Fuerst and Andrew Fuerst. He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
