She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Best and Susie Best (Kleinsasser); her husband Gilbert Schmidt; her son Cary Schmidt; her grandson Jason Severson; and her siblings, Charles Best, Clara Knodel and Grace Frueh.
She is survived by: her daughter Twila Brodersen (John) of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Laura Mackenzie (Brett) of Omaha, NE, Jennifer Korth (Scott) of Omaha, NE, Ian Schmidt of Parkersburg, WV and Jared Schmidt of Parkersburg, WV; her great grandchildren, Natalie Holman of Omaha, NE, Hailey Korth of Omaha, NE, Brandon Holman of Omaha, NE, Addison Korth of Omaha, NE and Brianna Mackenzie of Omaha, NE; her sister Geraldine Hoffard (Best); her sister-in-law Dorothy Best of Harvey; and her daughter-in-law Barb Schmidt of Parkersburg, WV..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hertz Funeral Home (800 Birch Ave, Harvey, ND 58341). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
