It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lyle Sommer of Harvey, North Dakota, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Sommer and Emily Sommer (Fuhrman); his brother Dale Sommer; and his son-in-law Adrian Schwan. He is survived by: his former wife Patty Schindler; his wife Alice Lithun of Harvey; his children, Rick of Harvey, Barry of Harvey, Vicky Sommer of South Dakota and Sandy Schwan of Bismarck, ND; his stepchildren, Julie Laube (Leo) of Carrington and Mark Lithun (Marie) of Fessenden; his grandchildren, Tony Sommer, Abby Schmaltz, Tara Schwan and Simone Merriman; his stepgrandchildren, Tina Opdahl (Nathon), Jason Dupaul (Kristian), Misy Palmer (Matthew) and Cathy Schmidt (Matt); and his sister Dorothy Faul of Arizona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
