He was predeceased by: his parents, John J Ripplinger and Cecilia Ripplinger (Kunnanz); his son Claude; his former wife Isabelle; his daughter-in-law Vicki Ripplinger; and his siblings, Leona Voyles, Victor, Henry and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia of Harvey; his sons, Leon Ripplinger (Carol) of Kelseyville, CA and Monte Ripplinger (Diane) of Rogers, MN; his grandchildren, Nicole Armstrong, Chad Ripplinger, Sarah Mason and Travis Ripplinger; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella, Ava, Nora and Georgia; his brothers, LeRoy Ripplinger (Mildred) of Rice Lake, MN and Eugene Ripplinger (Marlene) of McClusky, ND; and his stepchildren, Claudette Selzler (Tony) of Velva, ND, Calvin Ziegler of St. Augusta, MN, Carey Ziegler of Karlsruhe, ND, Carlyn Dakutak (John) of Minot, ND, Connie Ziegler of Phoenix, AZ and Clarae Ziegler of Bismarck, ND. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
