With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myron Prochnow of Hankinson, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 79. Though Myron may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Myron touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Prochnow and Florence Prochnow (Schroeder); his siblings, Peggy and James; and his nephews, Brian and Nick.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ronald Prochnow (Janet) of Hankinson, ND and Arlin Prochnow (Joan) of Fargo, ND; and his close friend Kevin Kessler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (205 2nd Ave NE, Hankinson, ND 58041). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
