He was predeceased by: his parents, Orra Crooks and Ervin Crooks; his wife Nancy; his son Mark Ponik; and his grandson Louis West.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Traiser (Dan) of Fergus Falls, MN; his grandchildren, Kristin Traiser of Mayer, MN, Jenna Traiser of Fargo, ND and Erik Traiser of Fargo, ND; his daughter-in-law Sharon Ponik of Fargo, ND; his siblings, Mary Kluge (Dave) of Hankinson, ND and Richard Crooks of Hankinson, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Crooks of Pingree, ID, Cindy Crooks of Hankinson, ND and Richard Koehler of Wauwatosa, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
