James left this world on October 30, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Kratcha and Clara Kratcha (Woytassek); his wife Lois Medenwald; his siblings, Archie, Emery and Marion Schonhoff; his grandson Brian Kratcha; and his nephew Lynn Kratcha.
He is survived by: his children, Don Kratcha (Marie), Rick Kratcha, Roger Kratcha and Debbe Ellefson; his stepchildren, Nancy Hentz (Brandan), Lisa King (Michael), Kenneth "Spike" Medenwald (Rhonda), Jeff Medenwald (Shannon), Terry Medenwald (Roxann) and Joel Medenwald (Jill); and his brother Lyle Kratcha (Sharda). He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home (309 5th St, Milnor, ND 58060).
