He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Hegle and Hazel Hegle Hillestad (Holmgren); his stepfather Adolph Hillestad; his brother Dale Hegle; and his sister-in-law Betty Ann Hegle Slaby (Tennefos).
He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia (Henry Wichmann Jr.) and NJ; his nephews, Jon Wichmann of Pittsburg, PA, Eric Wichmann, Singapore and Dan Hegle (Joey); his great-nephews, Jake Hegle and Josh Hegle (Jody); and his great-niece Jessica Lee (Nick) of Milnor, ND. He is also survived by great great nieces and nephew and many cousins.
