He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Smith and Nellie Smith (Emery); his son Gerald; his niece Monica Fixen; his nephew Rodney Smith; and his siblings, Paul Smith, Gail Johnson, Hope Hanson, Lois Wilson, Frank Smith, Orville Smith and Ronald Smith.
He is survived by: his son Thomas (Mary); his wife Emily; his grandchildren, Robyn Herman (Josh), Shannon Smith (Matt) and Zachary Smith (Hailey); his great grandchildren, Alerah, Avy, Noah, Kyren, Acaycia, Scarlett, Zachary, Samuel and Sawyer; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
