We bid farewell to Melcolm Nygaard of Grenora, North Dakota, born in Williston, North Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 4, 2024 at the age of 80. Melcolm touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Nygaard and Alma Nygaard (Lerbakken); his siblings, Pam Sundhagen, Kevin and Sylvan; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Rosenquist and Dale Bittner; and his parents-in-law, Ralph and Vera Matthes (Thompson).
He is survived by: his wife Ardis Matthes; his children, Toni Rimpila (Jeff), Tammy Nash, Dale (Paula), Pat (Annette) and Jennifer Price (Michael); his siblings, Yolanda Bittner and Alton Nygaard (Cleo); and his siblings-in-law, Don Sundhagen (Rosemary), Charles Matthes (Darlene), Maynard Matthes, Mila Nygaard, Bonnie Berglund and Marlene Bergseth (Larry). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
