It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Preston of Grandin, North Dakota, who passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Louise (Lula Waters) and Arthur McKinley Preston; his siblings, Arleen Ann and DeVere; and his great grandchild Preston Dale Bassett.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Rohman; his children, George Preston (Jackie), Linda Ramirez (Ronald), Frances Bassett (Jim), Richard Preston (Arlette), Kristie Sauvageau (Terry), Dallas Preston (Dana) and John M. Preston; his brother Duane Preston; and his grandchildren, Amber, Wade, Hillary Preston, Aaron, Kevin, Paul Ramirez, Alexis Baldera (Ramirez), Peter, Brian Bassett, Rachelle Gustafson (Bassett), Emily Kalina (Bassett), Chelsea Preston, Annie Condley (Sauvageau), Katie Bradshaw (Sauvageau), Joseph Sauvageau, Carmen Wade (Sauvageau), Ruthie Sauvageau, Brett, Jason Hewatt and Robby Preston. He is also survived by Great-Grandpa Jack is survived by 34 great-grandchildren.
