We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 74, Richard E. Thurston of Grand Forks, North Dakota, born in Cavalier, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Thurston; his sons, Casey and Cody; his stepfather Pete Gudmundson; and his brother Robert Thurston.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Swanson; his daughters, Emily Tweten (John) and Molly Marek; his grandchildren, Makson Richard of Grand Forks, Maisyn Leigh of Grand Forks, Stetsen John of Grand Forks, Stevie Jae Tweten of Grand Forks, Laila Alice of Grand Forks, Kashden Michael of Grand Forks and Rogan Richard Marek of Grand Forks; his mother Alice Gudmundson (Werner); and his brothers, Peter Gudmundson, John Gudmundson (Bobbi), Duane Swanson (Shari), Mark Swanson (Kathy) and Chris St (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the family to send to a charity of Richard's choosing.
