He was predeceased by: his former wife Georgia Hendricks; his brothers, Walter and Elroy; and his son-in-law Terry. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ruhnke; his children, Susan Kost and Michael Steffen (Kim); his granddaughters, Jordyn Ann Volk (Ben), Hadley Jo Plank (Matt), Kaitlyn Ann Kost and Maggie Rose Steffen; his siblings, Marjorie Riemer, Elaine Steffen, Willard Steffen and Robert Steffen (Sue); his stepchildren, Russ Ruhnke (Josette), Bobbie Coons (Tim) and Debbie Lewis (George); and his stepgrandchildren, Crystal Kelzer (Andrew), Kelly Dunham (Jeff), Max Ruhnke and Paige Ruhnke. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to the ND/MN Honor Flight.
