He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Kadlec and Lillian Kadlec (Bina); his son David; his brother Roman; his sister-in-law Luella Kadlec; and his parents-in-law, Rudolph and Mildred Kovarik.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kovarik; his children, Douglas (Lori Lee) of Star, ID, Lori Diede (Don) of Breckenridge, MN, Lesa Haase (Al Kyllanen) of Lakota, ND and Kim Hanneman (Greg Braun) of Wahpeton, ND; his granddaughters, Vanessa Reid (Eric) and Michelle Ebersbach (Shane); and his children, Nevin Kadlec (Bessie), Jeff Aamot (Brianna), Amber, Brittany, Jessica, Garret Greenwood (Ryan), Brayden Greenwood (Andrea) and Felix Greenwood. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
