Joyce E. Nelson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce E. Nelson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Renner and Eleanor Renner (Gress); her husband Gordon Nelson; her sons-in-law, T. Martin Baenen and Bill Bartuska; and her sisters, Alva Renner, Vernette Engness and Shirley Bertsch (Alvin Bertsch).
She is survived by: her children, Randy Nelson of Bothell, WA, Keith Nelson of Grand Forks, ND, Lori Bartuska of Thompson, ND, Lisa Baenen Wigren (Dennis) of Arlington, WA and Linda Nelson of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Erica, Ashley Nelson, Brandi Basting (Aaron), Nicholas Bartuska, Kate Baenen Wigren and Kristina Wigren; her great grandchildren, Emma and Jack Basting; her siblings, Doreen Payne (Lee), Michael Renner (Diana) and Jim Renner (Diane); and her siblings-in-law, Alvin Bertsch and Colleen Byzewski (Ardell). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
