He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Johnson and Veiga Johnson; his siblings, Sidney and Edith Matthews (Edi); and his great grandchild Addison Straub.
He is survived by: his wife Jean of Grand Forks, ND; his children, Patti Maerz (Mark) of Grand Forks, ND, Wade Johnson (Denise) of Grand Forks, ND and Mark Johnson (Shelly) of Moorhead, MN; his grandchildren, Jonathan Straub (Tiffany) of Grand Forks, ND, Joshua Straub of Grand Forks, ND, KayDee Straub of Grand Forks, ND and Shaelyn Johnson of Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Annabelle Straub of Grand Forks, ND, Josephine Straub of Grand Forks, ND and Kaitlyn Straub of Grand Forks, ND; and his brother Theodore "Ted" Johnson of Texas. He is also survived by many in laws, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
